When I first started getting into online marketing, I came across Jimmy D. Brown quite by accident. I was looking for a particular ebook and I happened across one of his site.

Back then I was quite the freebie seeker, but I was immediately taken by his writing style of the free report I got from him. He spoke to me.

Subsequently, I went on to buy my very first and second products relating to on line marketing from Jimmy - an ebook and a membership.  It’s fair to say that Jimmy was responsible for taking my interest to the next level.

Fast forward a few years and I STILL love Jimmy’s products. In fact, one of my favorite websites is Jimmy’s List and Traffic. This is one of the most useful and information packed membership sites I have ever come across.

It focuses ONLY on list building and traffic generation. It’s all original. And he presents the information in both audio and PDF. Some of the tactics Jimmy goes over have been responsible for nearly doubling traffic on one of my sites.

Yes, there’s a monthly charge. And you won’t believe what it is. You’d better sit down.

It’s a mere 10 bucks a month.  That’s absolutley crazy. His information is more valuable than membership sites charging 10 times that amount. Believe me, I know. I am, or have been a member in MANY sites in my quest for knowledge.

Anyway, one of my favorite parts of Jimmy’s site is the monthly pep talks. He is quite a speaker and it really shines through. Very inspirational and motivational. Do you want to hear a sampling?

By special permission from Jimmy himself, I bring you one of his pep talks for you to listen to. But there’s a couple of catches…

First, you MUST listen on line. You are not able to download the audio for your use.

Second, this will be up for ONLY one week.

Sorry, but that is what I agreed on with Jimmy in order to bring this to you. So, take ten minutes right now and listen. When you’re done, visit List and Traffic and sign up. It will be the best 10 bucks a month you will ever spend.

Well…at least until Fabio and I finish our upcoming coaching programs… ;)

One thing that I can say for sure is that audio will be a major player on all websites this year! How about yours?Audio books, articles, camtasia presentations, and website commercials are being added to websites everyday! Why? Studies show that while many people learn by listening, not all people learn by reading!

It can be a little confusing too, and you’ve also probably heard how expensive professional audio can be right? Well, guess what? There’s a brand new site that offers you complete audio production at a fraction of the cost! Professional audio custom produced just for you by real humans and for 10 times less than you’d pay anywhere else!! So head over to :

All Purpose Audio and see what I am talking about first-hand!

A Good Reason to Start Your Own Online Newsletter!

Publishing your own periodical newsletter can be one of
the most profitable businesses you can do online without
incurring a high cost.

If you are considering starting your very own newsletter
or need to reaffirm your believe about the commonly uttered
mantra "the money is in the list", then here is an
undisputed fact that may just surprise you...

...the truth is that owning a mailing list is more important
than owning your own the product.

Why is that?

Quite simply, if you do not own a mailing list then you do
NOT own a business. Since businesses, regardless of any
kind, involve people and your prospects are none other than
people themselves who are your potential customers.

And it's common knowledge that  people are more likely to
purchase something from a person the know and trust, than
from a complete strange they know nothing about.

So it's no surprise to learn that the more times you
contact your readers with relevant information about their
own wants and needs, the greater the chance of building a
relationship with them.

In doing this, it is then much more likely that you will
gain the trust of your readers and when you send them an
email endorsing various products the more likely it is that
you will make a sale.

Not only this, but if you would frequent forums often you
will be well aware that product owners often want to co-
operate with mailing list owners who have a list of
prospects they want to create join venture opportunities.

While some product owners offer attractive incentives and
commissions to mailing list owners, the point I want to
drive home is that product owners need the mailing list
owner more than the other way round.

And mailing list owners are much rarer than product
owners, since products (even great ones) are created almost
everyday and great mailing list owners don't come by on the
same frequency.

Once you start to build your own mailing list and begin to
build a reputation online, you will find yourself flooded
being with heaps of offers from other list owners inviting
you to partner with them to promote their products or
services.

Creating Stunning Images for your Websites!

As you may know, having your own products is an important
key to your online success. It's not the only key, but it
forms an important part of the overall strategy.

If you have already gone down this path or are thinking of
doing this, naturally you will need a mini-site or sales
page to promote your product.

So today we're going to talk about how generating a
specific set of graphics and using them in combination on
your 'mini' website will help you earn more money and
generate a better response than just a plain old text based
website.

Each portion of this creative process has been broken down
into different sections so you can read what you need.

- Covering it Up -

A well known fact when selling anything to anyone is that
using a picture along with a powerful description will
boost your sales. So, you will need to have an "cover"
image of your product. And regardless of whether it is an
ebook cover, a report jacket, CD cover or software box, you
need to have an original image for your product.

Hiring someone to design professional looking images is
the preferred option, however if you are just starting out
and money is a bit thin, here are a few free products you
can use to begin generating some good looking cover images.

Scott's Box Shot Maker - It's A Freebie, but It's Really
Good - http://boxshotmaker.com

Ebook Creation Toolkit v4.0
http://www.webadvertisingsecrets.com/EbookCoverToolkit4.zip
- Making the Page -

Now it’s time for the next group of graphics you’ll need
to create to help improve the look and selling power of
your ‘mini’ website. However, before you start making
sensational website graphics, you need the images that will
give you just the right look to showcase your product
properly.

Most graphics will be comprised of images and text, but
some will also contain special effects  generated with the
use of more expensive photo editing tools such as PhotoShop
or Paint Shop Pro (even though Paint Shop Pro costs just
$99, it’s a bargain compared to PhotoShop at a cost of
$699).

First, let me give you a couple of places to look for free
images that you can download and use, most of them anyway,
royalty-free:

– Stock X Change –
http://www.sxc.hu - It’s the best online. Check it out,
seriously.

– Websoup.Org –
http://www.websoup.org - You can find lots of things here
besides free image repositories.

– iStockphoto –
http://www.istockphoto.com - Even though you have to pay
for the use of these images, it’s pretty inexpensive at
just $0.50 per image.

What good will these images do you if you don’t have a
tool to help you utilize them properly?

So, here is another free gift for you that will help you
create integral parts of your ‘mini’ site.

**Please Note** - You will require Adobe PhotoShop to use
this gift.

– Action Pak Gold Action Scripts for Photoshop –
http://www.webadvertisingsecrets.com/actionpakgold.zip

This package contains 3 action scripts that will generate
a header graphic, an order button graphic, and a custom
designed logo background. It’s a wonderful package to use.
Only downfall, it requires PhotoShop.

So, now that you have your graphics, there’s only one
thing left to do - and that is creating your ‘mini’
website. To help you out with this process, here is yet
another free gift for you to use called

– Order Page Magic created by our protégé, Louis Burleson
http://www.webadvertisingsecrets.com/OrderPageMagic.zip

It will help you develop a great ‘mini’ page using a model
that has been proven to convert potential customers into
buying customers. This software tool will take you by the
hand and lead you down the path to your ‘mini’ site
creation.

Once you’ve done this it’s a simple matter of adding your
sales letter and then uploading to your site and it’s done.
Of course you need to develop a marketing plan to promote
your newly created mini-site in order to make sales, but
that’s a subject for another article.

How to Write Articles Using Proven Successful Models!

Writing articles is a fantastic way to brand yourself,
plus it's a great method of sending traffic to your chosen
website.

But you need to understand that articles aren't ads.
Writing an article that is full of ads promoting your
product simply doesn't cut it. It needs to contain quality
content that is both informative and entertaining.

An article's true purpose is not to sell product., it is
to promote your website and position you as either an
expert or a person to be trusted within your niche market
(preferably both).

No matter what your internet business is, you are in a
crowded field. There are dozens, even hundreds, of other
websites offering products or services similar to yours.
Providing knowledge in the form of articles helps people
realize that you know what you're talking about, and gives
them good reasons to buy from you rather than your
competitors.

So remember - an article is not an advertisement!

With this in mind, you may now be wondering exactly what
it is you should be writing articles about.

Here's the good news - articles are flexible. You can
write an article on just about any topic, as long as you
can relate it in some way to your website and your products
or services.

Following are just a few examples of the many forms an
article can take.

- How-to:

Perhaps the most popular type of article is one that
explains how to do something, get something, use something
or find something.

For example, if you're running an Internet business you
could probably write an article giving people advice on how
to start a small business from home. Think about your area
of specialty and list some things you can do that most
people might not know, but would like to learn.

- Opinion:

Whatever industry or type of business you work in, there
are always breaking developments, new products, or business
advances. You can write an article focusing on an emerging
aspect of your business, and offer your opinion on how it
will affect the industry.

- Personal/inspirational story:

Almost everyone has a compelling reason they went into
business for themselves. Consider writing an article or
series of articles about why you chose the path you did and
what problems or successes you had on your journey.

You can make it humorous, or inspirational, or both. Human
interest stories are a popular article format.

- Book excerpt or condensation:

If you're selling a book, ebook or ecourse you're in luck,
you have articles built in to your product. You can offer
your website visitors a free sample chapter, or write a
condensed article based on one of the ideas in your book.

Book excerpts also make great articles and if you use PDF
format to post an excerpt it can easily be passed around
via email.

- Top ten lists:

Many engaging articles are centered around a list concept.
And you don't have to use the number ten; any number will
do. A couple of good examples are   "The Seven Habits of
Highly Successful People" or "The Five People You Meet in
Heaven."

Yes these are books, but the concept for articles is the
same. Fore example, if your website is geared for business
people, you might write an article about the six features
you need in a good PDA or SmartPhone.

You can write articles on any subject to get people
interested in finding out what else you have to say. But
always remember...

...people read articles to be entertained, get ideas or
learn something they didn't know before, so stay away from
making your articles sound like advertisements!

Starting an on line business these days isn’t always what it’s
cracked up to be. More and more people are coming on line, more
and more people are building lists, creating products, etc.

There’s a lot of noise and clutter to wade through, to be sure.
But there’s one BIG stumbling block that holds so many people
back. And only you have the power to break through it. Do you
know what that stumbling block is?

You!

Yes, you. But that’s not so unusual. I mean, let’s face it - most
of us coming on line today are coming from a lifetime of work
in the every day work world. We come with baggage. We come with
high hopes, but little confidence. We come with a lifetime of
habits to break through. And that’s the deadliest combination.

We spend inordinate amounts of time listening to “experts” tell
us what we need to succeed. Some may be right, some may be wrong,
only you can decide that. But overall, it adds to the noise. It
adds to our own self doubt.

So we keep reading. We keep learning. And we learn so much of
what to do and how to do it, but we DON’T learn when to stop
calling ourselves a “Newbie”.

Visit any marketing forum and you’ll see what I mean:

“I am new and I need help…”

“Help! Guru misled me - I am just a newbie…”

“How does a newbie like me get JV’s?”

I could go on, but you get the picture.  What most of these
“newbies” never figure out (or figure out too slowly) is that
calling themselves a newbie simply adds to their own lack of
success. That term becomes a crutch. Or a self-fulfilling
prophecy.  “I am new, therefore I can’t”. Yup! You’re right!

Well, I am here to tell you…it’s okay to stop calling yourself
a newbie now. It’s okay to have confidence in yourself. Let me
tell you something - even those who have a successful on line
business STILL make mistakes, don’t know everything, suffer from
confidence issues.  But the difference is, they have the confidence
to push themselves forward. They don’t use the newbie crutch.

Building your own self confidence may take some time, but the
number one thing for you to do is believe in yourself. Believe
in your capacity to learn. Believe in your capacity to achieve.

True story…I went to a seminar over a year ago. There was a
woman who wanted to start an on line business. So she flew to
Phoenix all the way from the U.K.

She was on line about a year at this point. She had a set idea
in her mind about what she wanted to accomplish. And she was
studying whatever she could and attending seminars.

So what makes this story different from so many others? Well,
she’s 92 years old. You can bet she wastes very little time
using “newbie” as an excuse for lack of success.

I don’t know about you, but I find that to be an inspiration.
Take it where you can get it and feed off it.  You’ll get there.

It wasn’t odd to have two or three “best” friends.

Being old, referred to anyone over 20. (CRAP! I’m officially old!)

Abilities were discovered because of a “double-dog-dare”

Spinning around, getting dizzy and falling down was cause for giggles.

The worst embarrassment was being picked last for a team.

Water balloons were the ultimate, ultimate weapon.

Older siblings were your worst tormentors, but also your fiercest

Strategic Partners.

Ok, so now you know one of the “secrets” that many of
today’s marketers use in their business. Strategic partners
is hardly a secret or a new idea. However, so many people
come on to the internet convinced that this is a great way
to make “loads” of money from home, all by themselves.  And
while it’s true that some people HAVE done it on their own,
this is more the exception than the rule.

Ask any of today’s successful marketers what they feel is
one important key to achieving success on the internet,
most will include interaction with others, such as
partnerships, mastermind groups, joint ventures and even
affiliates.

But I can hear your question. I get it almost daily, and
have asked it myself. “I am unknown. How do I get the
guru’s to look at my offers/JV with me/answer my emails/etc.”

Well, here’s your answer to that: Don’t ask them.  There’s
really no need. Why?

Aside from the fact that most won’t see your emails, unless
they have met you (that’s a whole other article…). But
the reality is that there are so many marketers out there
that fly under the radar, but have a mailing list, and are
actually looking for JV’s to do.

You can find these marketers in many ways - visit popular
marketing forums, join one of those JV networks, go to a
live event, etc. Introduce yourself, offer something first
such as help with a problem they may be having.

You need to remember that the internet isn’t just a network
of computers. It’s people. The emails you send out are read
by people. So to expect to do it all on your own is being
short sighted.

Once you have made your first strategic partner, it snowballs
from there. Let me give you an example:

From my days as a web host, one of my remaining clients and
also a friend is Helene Solinga. She sent me an email
telling me that someone she knew wanted an intro to me.
Enter John Hostler, aka the Inernet Renegade. Connection.

We trade emails and have become friends. He finds out I
know Liz Tomey (also from my hosting days) and I set up an
intro. Connection. They are now doing projects together, and
John now writes her copy.

See one of their partnership sites here:

http://www.mroverdeliver.com/MrHos

Here’s another: On a popular marketing forum, a thread is
posted looking for people in the NY area (where I am from)
to get together for lunch. I attend, there’s 10 people. One
of those is Fabio Marciano, my current partner on the
Butterfly Riches site we launched in September. Connection.

Here’s another: Last year I attended an event in Phoenix.
I met James Grandstaff at this event and we became friends.
When I launched MrOverDeliver in March, ‘06 he was one of
the two partners that launched with me. Incidentally Liz was
the other. Connection.

Now, James and I are working on another project together
which will launch next month.

One more… I recently requested some beta testers for a new
piece of software I am working on. One of the testers turned
out to be Nick Bulka, a programmer. He recommended some
changes. We chatted and worked out a deal and now we are
partnered up on a few upcoming projects.

I could go on with more examples. But you get the idea. By
now, you should realize that strategic partnerships can be
with anyone. You don’t HAVE to have a well-known marketer
to get your projects off the ground, or build your list, etc.

It simply takes being proactive. Meeting people either in
person (best), by phone or by email. Don’t be afraid to ask
the people you DO know for an intro to someone they know.

To date, this has been my biggest profit maker since I have
been on line. Time for you to make some connections too.
